Imagine Dragons is a four-piece rock band based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band entered the studio for the first time in 2009.[1][2][3] They released two EPs titled Imagine Dragons EP[4] and Hell and Silence EP[5] in 2010, both recorded at Battle Born Studios.
Imagine Dragons signed to major label Interscope Records in November 2011.[6] They are working closely with producer Alex Da Kid with whom they recorded their first major label release at Westlake Recording Studios in West Hollywood, California. The EP is entitled Continued Silence and it was released on Valentine\’s Day (February 14, 2012) digitally. Shortly after, \”It\’s Time\” was released as a single and began charting on the Billboard Alternative and Billboard Rock charts. Following its release, \”It\’s Time\” had air play on select major stations. The music video debuted on April 17, 2012 on all MTV affiliates and the band was named MTV PUSH Artist of the Week.[7] A first teaser released March 28, 2012. The video also reached #1 on Yahoo Music\’s Top Videos.[8] \”It\’s Time\” also gained fame after being used in \”The Perks of Being a Wallflower\” trailer.
The band announced they would be entering Studio X inside Palms Casino Resort to finish recording their debut album Night Visions in the summer of 2012 and releasing the album on September 4, 2012.
They will tour with Awolnation in the fall of 2012 in addition to performing at summer festivals including SXSW, MTV Woodie Awards Festival, Summerfest, Firefly Music Festival, Riot Fest Chicago, and others.
